EU Funds & Programmes

The European Union sets targets. Targets, that if achieved, will improve Europe and its States. 

​

It then designs funding programmes to achieve these targets. These programmes will be able to provide European people, businesses, regions and cities with the support they need to contribute towards the EU's priorities;

 

"building a greener, more digital and more resilient Europe,

ready for today's and tomorrow's challenges.

The below are the main funding programmes currently being implemented. For further information on each scheme please contact us.

Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund

This fund is primarily focused on the development and strengthening of the Common EU Asylum System, aiding legal migration and integration of third country nationals and enhancing state solidarity and responsibility between a member state.

The Blue-Invest Fund.

The Blue-Invest Fund is structured as an EFSI Equity Product to provide finance to funds that are wholly or partly targeting the blue economy or to individual enterprises backed by more general funds.

Border Management and Visa Instrument

The BMVI fund will primarily focus on enhancing EU capacity for border control and implementation of visa policies, the overall maintaining and modernization of the EU's visa policy, strengthening security risks and minimizing irregular migration as well as aiding the implementation of the new EU mandate concerning EU Border and Coast Guard.

Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (CERV)

This fund aims to preserve and promote the EU's overall values and rights that are enshrined in several of the EU's treaties concerning rights as well as The Charter for Fundamental Rights, and the fund will aid to promote and improve the EU's values based on democratic, open, balanced values as well as promoting inclusion of societies based on the rule of law.

Creative Europe (CREA)

The CREA fund aims to provide support for the creation of EU frameworks concerning creative and cultural sectors through digitalisation and globalisation, promoting competitiveness in the EU's audio-visual industry within media sectors whilst giving way to international opportunities, audiences and markets and aids to promote pluralistic media, innovation and diversification within sectors.

Connecting Europe Facility (CEF)

This fund focuses on the implementation of strategic investment in the energy, digital infrastructure and  transport sectors aiding and promoting overall growth, occupational opportunities and to promote competition, in line with the EU Green Deal.

Customs Control Equipment Instrument (CCEI)

The CCEI fund will aid to overall improve and harmonize customs performance and control within external borders through the addressing of any imbalances between Member States and the harmonised application of customs control between and by Member States.

Customs Programme (CUST)

The CUST fund aims to safeguard the financial and economic interests of EU member states through the harmonization and upkeep of security and overall safety within the EU, by eliminating illegal and unfamiliar trade practices. The fund aids the implementation of legislation relating to customs policy, customs cooperation, expanding the administrative and I.T sectors relating to customs and creating room for overall innovation in customs policy.

Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL)

This fund will aim to improve the EU's supercomputing and data processing capabilities and sectors by : investing and introducing the use of artificial intelligence whilst strengthening the existence of A.I within member states, strengthening cyber security coordination as well as improving tools and data structures, support the implementation and design of specialized programmes and promote traineeships and support high impact deployments in sectors of public interest whilst strengthening the network of EU Digital Innovation Hubs.

Emergency Support Instrument 

The Emergency Support Instrument helps Member States respond to the coronavirus pandemic by addressing needs in a strategic and coordinated manner at European level. The Emergency Support Instrument is based on the principle of solidarity and pools efforts and resources to quickly address shared strategic needs. The instrument helps mitigate the immediate consequences of the pandemic and anticipate the needs related to the recovery.

Erasmus+ Programme (ERASMUS)

The Erasmus+ fund aims to offer support within the educational, professional and personal development sectors through the training of youth and professionals alike in order to contribute to the overall sustainable growth, offer quality jobs, maintain social cohesion and to promote innovation and hence strengthen the EU's identity and active citizenship

EU Anti-fraud Programme (EUAF)

The EAUF fund focuses on promoting activities and incentives to prevent fraud, corruption and any other illegalities within the financial sector and overall interests of the EU through action grants.

EU External Action (RELEX)

The Reflex programme aims to provide how the EU aids the conduction of foreign policy, its promotion of fundamental rights. All of this is done through the compiling of support to third world countries by providing grants to support projects and organisations which aims to further their objectives.

EU4Health Programme (EU4H)

the EU4H programme fund focuses on improving and fostering health in the EU, tackling cross-border health threats, improving the production and availability of medicinal products in the union, strengthening health unions through resource efficiency and resilience and investing in urgent health priorities and response to future health threats,

European Defence Fund (EDF)

Then EDF Fund aims to promote and support collaborative efforts relating to defence research and development through the support of a multitude of companies from EU member states whilst administrating innovation and competition, relating to the defence industrial base.

European Globalisation Adjustment Fund for Displaced Workers

The EGF shall support socioeconomic transformations that are the result of globalisation and of technological and environmental changes by helping displaced workers and self-employed persons whose activity has ceased to adapt to structural change. The EGF shall constitute an emergency fund that operates reactively. As such, the EGF shall contribute to the implementation of the principles set out in the European Pillar of Social Rights and shall enhance social and economic cohesion among regions and Member States.

European Solidarity Corps (ESC)

The ESC fund focuses on implementing actions such as volunteering projects, solidarity projects and volunteering in humanitarian aid projects. The fund also offers a series of quality and support measures through formal and non-formal learning.

European Parliament (EP)

The European Parliament fund (EP) focuses its priorities on communication by offering grants for media partnerships and media actions, engagement grants and grants in support to the European Youth Event in Strasbourg.

Europe Direct (ED)

The purpose of this incentive is to help promote regular and pro-active citizen engagement concerning the ownership of EU Projects. The fund aims to provide a better understanding on the functions of the EU's parliamentary democracy framework whilst helping to identify aspects of EU policies,

European Social Fund + (ESF)

The ESF aims to act as a financial instrument that helps to strengthen the EU's social dimension by implementing the EU's pillar of social rights. The fund mainly targets employment, mobility, labour mobility, skills and social inclusion.

European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF)

The EMFAF fund aims to provide support through the development of innovative projects relating to maritime and aquatic sectors ensuring sustainability. The fund aims to facilitate socio-economic development, sustainability, security, social and economic vitality as well as international cooperation and competitiveness within the sector.

Euratom Research and Training Programme (EURATOM)

The Euratom programme aims to offer improved nuclear safety, security, radiation protection, safe spent fuel and radioactive waste management whilst promoting the use of secure nuclear power. The programme also prioritizes the research and development relating to the development and competence in the nuclear field whilst fostering the use of fusion energy as a potential future energy source through the overall improvement and support of EU policies relating to nuclear safety and security.

Fiscalis Programme (FISC)

The Fiscalis programme is aimed on taxation and available to EU member states, allowing the development of major trans-European IT systems, establishment of networks through the bringing together of tax administration officials through: meetings, Project based collaboration, IT Capacity building, human competency, studies, innovative activities, join communication actions and any other relevant actions.

Horizon Europe (HORIZON)

The Horizon Europe programme is aimed towards research and innovation. The programme's goals are to boost the EU's innovation capacity, deliver citizen priorities and sustain socio-economic models and values and stregthening the EU's overall scientific and technological bases and EU Reasearch area

Information Measures for the EU Cohesion policy (IMREG)

This fund aims to foster and promote a better understanding of the role of Cohesion policy to the general public as well as stakeholders alike. The fund spreads awareness and intellect towards in the role of Cohesion policy's support in all EU regions, increasing awareness regarding EU funded projects, and encouraging dialogue and debate on the policy itself, its results and its overall role in delivering the EU's political priorities

Internal Security Fund (ISF)

The ISF fund will aim to contribute to the exchange of information between EU law enforcement and enhancing cross border operations, cooperation through the intensifying of cross border joint operations and the overall fighting against crime via strengthening combat skills as well as reinforcing protection against terroristic acts, organized crime and cyber crime.

Interregional Innovation Investments (I3)

The Interrogational Innovation Investment fund aims to provide both advisory and financial support to joint innovation projects in joint smart specialisation areas organised in value chain portfolios.

Innovation Fund (INNOVFUND)

The INNOVFUND aims to focus on innovative low carbon technologies and processes within energy intensive industries, Carbon capture utilisation , carbon capture and storage (CCS), innovative renewable energy sources and generation and energy storage,

Justice Programme (JUST)

The JUST programme aims to facilitate and support forms of judicial cooperation within civil and criminal matters, promoting the rule of law independence, impartiality and judiciary whilst supporting the overall effectiveness of national justice systems as well as the effective enforcement of decisions.

Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM)

The UPCM mechanism aims to offer support mechanism to member states in order to protect people, the environment, property and  cultural heritage against man-made threats such as terroristic acts , technological radiological and environmental  disasters, marine pollution and overall health emergencies that might occur both inside and outside the EU.

Programme for the Environment and Climate Action (LIFE)

The main goals of the LIFE programme are to promote sustainability, environmental protection and enhancement, reversal of biodiversity loss, prevent and halt degradation of ecosystems whilst supporting and encouraging 'green ideas' from all types of companies, NGOs, public sectors citizens, groups and academics and many others.

Promotion of Agricultural Products (AGRIP)

The AGRIP programme aims to promote and aid agricultural organisations within all EU member states, promoting their respective EU agri-food products within international markets and to be able to raise consumer awareness in respect of the efforts that are made by farmers in EU member states to be able to provide quality produce.

Protection of the Euro against Counterfeiting Programme (PERICLES)

The PERICLES programme focuses on supplementing and supporting any measure taken by EU member states whilst assisting the component national and Union authorities in their effort to develop among themselves and also the EU commission, close and regular cooperative acts and an exchange of best practice through the inclusion of third world countries and international organisations.

Pilot Projects and Preparatory Actions (PPPA)

THE Pilot project (PP) is a project designed around testing the feasibility of an experimental project that its usefulness last for two years or more. The Preparatory Action (PA), is the successor of a successful pilot project related to the same subject, and is designed to aid the preparation of new actions like EU based policies, legislation, programmes, etc, with funding opportunities for not more than three years,

Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF)

The Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) is the key instrument that has been developed under the Next-Generation-EU initiative to aid the EU's resilience and overall strength in the presence of any current or emerging crisis.

Research Fund for Coal & Steel (RFCS)

This funds aims to cover new sustainable low-carbon steel making and finishing processes, advanced steel grade applications, quality control, resources, health and safety, environmental protection and supporting the transition of coal sectors in regions

Single Market Programme (SMP)

The SMP programme aims to ensure that citizens and businesses alike can benefit through the internal market with the use of tools that ensure they are ware of their rights. The SMP will also aid to provide financial support to develop EU standards, will support businesses to ensure competition within markets, will make sure that any products on the market are safe for consumers, will aim to eradicate any form of diseases and pests and will provide funding for statistical initiatives in order to monitor economic, territorial and social situations.

Social Prerogative and Specific Competencies Lines (SOCPL)

The SOCPL programme aims to provide support through prerogatives and promotion of EU social dialogue, agreements on joint actions, building activities, analytical activities, information of training measures, free movement of workers, coordination of social security schemes, as well as providing support for socio-economic development in the EU .

Union Civil Protection Mechanism

The Mechanism aims to strengthen cooperation between the EU Member States and 6 Participating States on civil protection to improve prevention, preparedness and response to disasters.

URBACT IV

For over 15 years, the URBACT programme has been the European Territorial Cooperation programme aiming to foster sustainable integrated urban development in cities across Europe. It is an instrument of the Cohesion Policy, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, the 27 Member States, Norway & Switzerland. URBACT’s mission is to enable cities to work together and develop integrated solutions to common urban challenges, by networking, learning from one another’s experiences, drawing lessons and identifying good practices to improve urban policies. URBACT is a European exchange and learning programme promoting sustainable urban development. It enables cities to work together to develop solutions to major urban challenges, reaffirming the key role they play in facing increasingly complex societal changes.
